Just spent two nights at this hotel that was very comfortable and warm. Staff very nice and obliging. We ate in the hotel on our first night which could have been better. I had pie which I found to be rather salty and the portion would not have been enough for a male. . I had creme brulee for desert which was disappointing after I have tasted very good ones in the past. The breakfasts were very good and the lady serving was excellent.
Absolutely top-notch place! Staff could not be faulted, especially the main man (think he was the manager) who was exceptional, the very definition of good customer service. Food was arguably on par with some Michelin star places I've tried but with better prices and portion sizes! They went above and beyond for my vegan girlfriend, offering to adapt almost anything on the menu rather than doing what other places do of just suggesting one option. I'd absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Just to clarify, this is a review of their bar/restaurant as we did not stay in the hotel, but I can imagine if kept to the same high standards as their bar and restaurant that this would also be 5-stars!

I love this place. Warm and friendly with excellent food and service. Always get very inebriated which is a bonus.
Overall a really nice stay. Huge bed which was good but left the room a tad snug which isn't a bad thing necessarily. Lovely bathroom. Dog friendly and the dog could stay in the hotel. A huge compliment is that although dogs stay there, the rooms were clean, fresh and Didn't smell doggie at all which was fantastic. Good food. Service was a bit hit and miss but it was busy. Would recommend. One bit of info for dog owners but not a negative at all against the hotel, there's no grass areas at the hotel but a couple of minutes walk leads to nice open grass areas as I know some dogs can be fussy.
